Rover 75 2.5 Contemporary auto

Here we have for sale my 54 plate Contemporary in pearl black metallic. It was a Rover Fleet car so has all the toys and is a joy to drive. It comes with refurbished serpent alloys in dark shadow chrome with new centres, and a full set of tyres fitted by the AA last year. It has Harmon Kardon sound, electric sunroof, electric heated memory seats, powerfold mirrors, Xenon headlights, curtain airbags, rain sensing wipers, mudflaps, rear spoiler, chrome gearshift, tailored Rover mats, Heko wind deflectors, 2.5 chrome torpedo badges, two working fully refurbed keys by Phil T4 etc etc.

The sound system is a BMW type with multi-changer, tape and radio, and also sat nav, but this is not touch screen.

VIS motors checked at club meet 13th October.

I have owned it almost two years, and in that time the car has wanted for nothing. It has had the following work and probably more that I have forgotten, but at the last count I was over the £2000 mark and counting: 02 and crank sensor, breather pipe assembly, Jules uprated Shannon tube, thermostat & housing, sunroof drain mod, handbrake stainless mod, bonnet cable mod, front tyre protectors, front discs and pads, new battery, replacement windscreen, new rear spring, new scuttle retaining clips and sealed, boot clips sealed, radiator tank cap, Tony Banks/Longlife front to back stainless exhaust at a cost of over £600, lower engine mount, upgraded grille badge, new side flag badges.

This year I have also cleaned up all the underneath of the car, subframes, arms, any exposed items, painted with red oxide, than hammered finish, then waxoyl. Any buyer can feel free to bring a mat and roll under to inspect it all.

The cruise control has never worked, but as it’s something I don’t use it has never bothered me. A previous owner removed the powerwash for the Xenons, but I have it all to put back if the new owner wishes, as well as a replacement PBT bumper with no holes if they would rather not!

The paintwork does have the usual age related marks and stone chips, and this is reflected in the price, but it still looks stunning when everything is polished up. It also has a towbar fitted that I had on to pull my little folding caravan, it has towed this a grand total of 4 times.

The car has approx 124k on the clock, has MOT until January and belts are not due until August 2020. There is probably mounds I have forgotten. Feel free to ask any questions via PM or on the forum and I will try to be honest. There is a lot more history with the car in the form of stamps and invoices I can provide. I am only selling this, and also my Old English White so that I can buy and re-commission my brother’s ZT as it has been standing 16 months since he passed away.
