Mines got a big piece of checker plate over the place that take brunt of speed humps, to reinforce it.. for small cracks you can’t go wrong with superglue and baking powder. The baking powder makes it dry instantly and extremely hard.

Another good item to use as strengthening is a piece of mesh grille. You can use this with polyester filler which is easier to work with than resin.
Remember to pity a pair of disposable gloves on as that stuff (resin) is messy to work with.

On my project 75 I cut out two holes immediately above my sump plug, gearbox plug and gearbox level plug. In future I won’t have to remove the undertray for servicing.

With it being effectively a flat sheet of plastic you are matting onto, without the above, any flex will allow it to vibrate or peel off. Because of this, I would also reduce very slightly the amount of hardener for this application. It takes much longer to 'go off', however I found it meant the repair was more flexible.

Jim Jamieson repaired his during his brilliantly illustrated suspension overhaul HERE
just sent Jim a PM asking for advice as I have two more under trays to repair
