Default Tar spot removal

Washed the car tonight and its everywhere. No idea when I picked it up as I haven't even been near roadworks. So what products do people find work best please?

Autosmart tardis is first choice, or autoglym tar remover.
Spray on a dry car, leave for 3 mins then wipe off with a damp microfibre cloth.

I find WD40 on a cloth works well too.

Diesel or petrol for a few minutes, wipe off then polish as normal.

I've used white spirit, wipe on/ off with a cloth then wash immediately afterwards.

Autoglym tar and glue remover for me, works well. Autosmart tardis is good but be careful if your car has had paintwork before because it can mark it.
