Hobbies: a couple of members are into trains and I remember one telling me about his train set he built over many years. Ian is a visual train driver and clearly it gives him a lot of enjoyment. I recall Steve Strat is excellent at model making, can’t remember if Bob makes or collects model cars as well. What about getting yourself a second hand DSLR camera and trying photography and doing the post editing on a tablet or laptop. Then there is cooking, also another hobby? Can’t think of anything else at the moment, except anything outdoors is dependent on the weather and how you are feeling, that is if you are well enough to try a new hobby or not.

Dogs:

We lost a dog a Labrador, a few years ago to a Leopard who killed him one night and all we found remaining of Diesel was one of his paws at the side of a stream in the forest the next day. At the time, he would not stay inside the house at night and he would frequently run away. We think a he was drawn to a female dog across the valley, a heartbreaking loss.

After losing Diesel we decided not to get another dog, but we are lucky to have 3 of Jessica’s sisters dogs who visit from her sisters house nearby, they are lovely dogs with a nice temperament: Begorrah the Great Dane, Pimbe the Collie, Rocky the Jack Russel. They have the run of the garden and the forest of 10 acres but at night they are kept in for their own safety since the Leopard incident.
At the minute Phil, all I am thinking is getting back to work, I am hopefully getting my operation on my head, then a certain wait to see if I can start work. Since I have been on the sick just drives me mad, I wish I could see my friends and drive to them now again, I still have my licence taken by the DVLA allowed to drive until and if the doctors say I can drive, I will be given a test by the local DVLA to see if I can test to see if I’m ok.
I hate having to go somewhere by the buses everywhere atm.

We’re not! Ging has been felled by this flu bug, I’m not quite as bad but still feeling very second hand. I’m not allowed over the counter flu medication, have to make do with the max dose of paracetamol. Even with that I’ve got a constant headache, muscle and joint pain and as weak as a kitten.

Good morning all, best wishes to the sick and those with the miseries and grumps for a speedy recovery from their ailments and a better year ahead.

Yesterday we didn’t get to change the solar panels on the roof but I did manage to carry out some minor 4x4 repairs.

This morning I am taking Jessica to the hospital for a routine gynae check up.

What’s everyone up to?

Morning Phil, morning all.

Safe trip to the hospital to you both.

No further updates on Nan other than her being free from pain as she receives end of life care.

Working in Colchester this morning, off Wednesday and working in Braintree Thursday.
Got two jobs booked in for Norfolk on Friday, so will head over to the boat at the weekend after finishing the jobs.
Depending on the weather, I may take Lady Emma out for a cruise

Banana is in for her MOT and short service.
