Default Facelift dipped beam bulb replacement

N/S dipped beam gone. In the past, I’ve always got the garages to do this, but now, in retirement, I really want to give it a go myself… reading various threads about it here, the worst problems people have had seem to be around the little spring clips that hold the bulbs in. However, the Shapeshifters don’t have them, so I suppose that’s something.

I have a spare cluster in the garage, and can wheek the bulb out in about 5 seconds, so I assume all the difficulty is around access. So… steering fully to the right, access hatch off, and here we go… only thing is, does the square black plug just pull off? The one on my spare doesn't want to shift, but I can’t see any sort of release clip etc…?

Not to self: next time, inspect things like that connector in good light, wearing your glasses.

Anyone who knows me here has seen me struggle with many things which others find simple, but this was actually really easy – IF you do it through the bonnet, where the access is much easier than via the inspection hatch!

OK, I unbolted the fusebox, but only moved it a little to one side… bulb out, bulb in, all working. 10 minutes max. Wouldn't have fancied doing it through the hatch AT ALL.
