first issue!
well just over a weeks ownership and a problem already! well im not panicing yet as the dealer is going to sort it out tomorrow.
i noticed some oil under the car yesterday, lifted the bonnet and its only on the fron and above the exhaust manifold so it looks like a camshaft gasket. the dealer has one coming in tomorrow so that will be done. Just to check as i have read through a few threads today, the bolts for camshaft cover can be re-used? also the bolts should be torqued to 10nm only. also to check the breather pipes on the back of the engine make sure there are no blocks. apart from that the cars running fine, got a bit of a stutter on lpg sometimes but the lpg specialist i spoke to said the plugs probably need changing so i ordered the nkg bkr6eix-lpg plug set for tomorrow also. plan is as soon as these are done i will take it to get the cambelt and water pump done, then off to the lpg specialists to have a system service and leak test. is there anything else i should get done while its at both? thanks will put some picks up of the oily front later. |

the gasket came today picked it up from the dealer as he did not pick the car up today as promised (go figure). the plan is to do the gasket tonight if i get time and also change the sparkplugs to the nkg-lpg ones at almost £60 a set of 4.

ok gasket is done and the plugs, the dealer was supposed to ring me to pay for the plugs , it never happened so i have to bill them tomorrow and hope they pay.
my first gasket done i hope i got it right.... the old plugs were exactly that, old, and not changed when it was mot'd last week, also not liked by the lpg either! pictures now my other plan is to get the underneath steam cleaned this weekend. just out of interest if i drop all the oil, can i take the sump off and replace the sump gasket also with no problems? i can check the bottom end at the same time then as well make sure all is well there. at least i know it has gaskets done on the top and bottom. thanks |

took the car out as i had to sort out a radiator pipe for a friend, squeezed the pedal in lpg mode and the damn thing went off like a rocket the turbo spooled up nicely and off she went even i went "wwoooooooow!)
before the plug change it would sometimes do a little judder as if it was missing or not fueling right, fine in petrol, so it had to be the plugs and it was. with the new nkg lpg plugs there is no more stutter and its sounding very nice now. |

next on the list is getting the cam carrier removd and the anerobic sealant done again while its having its cambelt and water pump changed, the mechanic will also check around the head see if the head gasket needs changing or not. also a fresh oil change, under car steam clean, oil filter etc. the works basically |
