Default Heavy throttle

My throttle pedal has always seemed heavy and "stiff", the cable moves freely, and the butterfly throttle is no sticking, but requires some effort to move, is this normal? it ruins the feel of the car (2.o KV6). any experiences of this anyone?

The cable run VERY freely, the butterfly is, of course spring loaded, but not at all stiff, being LHD the throttle seems to have som kind of crossover linkage to the cable on the righthand side, but it is not very stiff, is it just whats these cars are like? I posted this in february without much feedback on how heavy the throttle is.
All help appreciated

No, your throttle cable shouldn't feel heavy Gary. I'd recommend a close inspection of all moving parts from the pedal to the butterfly valve, lightly lubricating the moving parts. Check that the cable adjustment at the throttle end is correct and that it is routed without kinks and secured into the clips provided.
