Default Any Ebay sellers??

Hey guys,

Quick question, I put up a Karting race suit for sale (Brand new and unused) and after a few relists it sold on Saturday. Looking at the buyer he bought a boiler suit around the same time he bid on my suit (you can use these for indoor karting). Anyway thing is he hasn't paid me yet. Its been 48 hours, I just wondered how long was a reasonable time to wait for payment?

I sent invoice at the auction end and asked for payment so I could send by courier today but nothing came of it. Should I hold off for a few more days or just go to the "resolve a problem" page or contact the buyer again ( I don't want to seem pushy).

Any advice welcome. (BTW it was a bargain, half the price it was bought for!)

How is he paying for it?
paypay could be instant payment
Cheque could be held up in the post.
Every thing I have sold has paid for by Cheque & not posted untill funds have cleared.

I've had people not pay for a week or so, never understand it personally if somethings peanuts money..most things i buy i pay for as soon as i've won them, because i want them

I'd give it 7 days and then report it..

Lot's of messers on there now tbh.

Its a paypal only Auction so I thought it would have been pretty quick, I normally pay straight away so I suppose I assumed they would too, plus he has plenty of feedback to say as such.

Will hold off for now then.

I pay for things when I order them, I have never sold anything on there, but I agree with what you say, give it a week, and if no funds appear, contact the buyer first and ask if they still want it,if no reply report them and leave negative feedback.

Check when he made his bid. sometimes people who are going away might place a bid then not check their emails, so may not know that they have been successful. At least give them five days, then send a polite email reminding them of their "win".
Then after no reply to that, go on to report/resolve it.
Good luck

Thanks, he made the bid 1 hour before the auction finish That's why I thought he would have paid quickly.

Maintain cordial relationship as far as you can. A polite request to keep you informed of his intention to complete, if no reply by two days later a message that you will relist and report him to ebay unless immediate paypal. Giving him bad feedback will only provoke him to invent bad selling by you. Only give bad feedback if he does it to you, otherwise none at all. The world is full of wannabes, to be avoided.

You cant give bad feedback as a seller anymore, that's part of the problem.
