Good stuff Jeff.

Out of interest, how many cats does the centre find homes for per week, month etc. They sure seem to do good work.

We are nearly always full to capacity (sadly) Paul, which is around 30 cats/kittens.
Probably on average around 5 a week find new homes but we have that many if not more handed in.
Thankfully we are only a small cat rescue charity, I can only imagine how stretched the bigger rescue centres get such as the Cats Protection League, PDSA and so on!

The sad thing is when the RSPCA pick up strays, no matter how healthy if they can't be found places in rescue centres within seven days they are usually euthanised.....

Here's six little balls of fluff! My friend's Shih Tzu had seven pups, now six unfortunately. They're just a few weeks old. You can see mum's face at the top of the pic. My friend keeps asking if I want one, the three girls I've got is enough to contend with!

That's so sad & im shocked to read that.
Our last 3 bunnies have been rescues all 3 of which no one else wanted as they were a bit fiesty & were scared from people due to neglect & mishandling.
You wouldn't know that now as there all friendly & enjoying the freedom of there houses & the garden.

People just don't realise that although the RSPCA rescue animals they aren't a homing shelter and there are finite places available in rehoming centres

Glad you rescued your three bunnies and they have turned out to be great pets

I would say to anyone thinking of homing a pet to check out local rescue centres first as there are so many animals looking for their forever homes through no fault of their own.

I mean.......how could you resist
