I use leather cleaner on my Cowley Connoisseur twice a year, I am never convinced that it actually penetrates the hide. My seats have a plasticised feel almost as if the leather is sealed, is this just my imagination.

Leather seats normally are sealed which can be seen by putting a few drops of water on the seat. It will normally just sit there without soaking in which shows the protective coat is still doing it's job. Oils will seep in over a longer period so it's not totally non-porous.

I've found the leather conditioner gives a very matt finish so decided to try some Carpro Pearl (1:5 mix) on a headrest. Gives a pleasing satin finish but not at all greasy. It's also waterproof. So I've decided that after conditioning I'll use Carpro Pearl on all the leather.
Ali.
