Thumbs up Jules - A Recommendation.

Hi, As if one were needed of course!! Jules did my thermostat last week. (CDT). He did a first class job, which is normal for him. It was worth the 440mile round trip from the North East to let him do the job.

It was still cheaper than the garages up here that bothered to quote. Some did'nt even want the job. Xpart Landrover. T.V.T.E. Gateshead quoted £300 and 5 hours.

Hows this, a garage in Washington, ex Rover agent, after a T4 session, (screen dump showing coolant temperature of 74 degrees) said the temperature was ok??? 'cos the gauge needle was in the middle. Yeh right, just tell im owt!!

Anway, running ok now, with 88 degs reached in about 10 mins from cold. Normal running temp seems to be 89. Going uphill between 90/91, and downhill 87/88 degs. Motorway cruising between 88/90.

IMHO, if you need any work done give Jules a ring first. He'll give you honest, first class advice, and if you can stand the drive, let him do the work, 'cos he won't rip you off.

His mail order service is first rate as well. I bought a cooling fan from him which I fitted myself, and that transaction was painless.

Cheers, JRT.

Cant recommend Jules highly enough. Did the 404 mile round trip one Saturday a few months ago to do my fan resistor and other things while the front was off. Well worth it for me just to know its done right by an expert plus the best and thickest toast you are ever likely to see; forgot about the choc biscuits

For you NE guys I can recommend my now well established X part dealer here in Durham, Fred Hendersons. They did my thermo for £235
