Default Weather 2 UDM 2

Actually i have only used the UDM once due to the weather lately but so pleased with the results that i have counted it as a double strike !

Some before and after pictures below, the UDM is great for removing swirls, and thanks again to Empsburna who paid me a visit recently to show me how to use the UDM.

The pictures below show all my own work and first attempt at detailing a car rather than just washing it - hope my mentor Empsburna is proud of how his pupil is coming along !

I dont normally let the car get this dirty but just took it up to Newcastle as working up there for 2 days and mainly motorway NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- all over it.

The car was washed using the 2 bucket method with 2 wash mitts, one for the top half of car the other for the lower half, used Meguiars gold class shampoo, clayed, polished using the UDM with Menzerna intensive polish, hand waxed with poorboys nattys blue, tyres have Sonus gel on.

Not sure when it will look this good again for a while, but i dont intend to UDM it again now, will just wash and build up the wax protection.

I assume so as have seen it on others but maybe someone else knows different.

It is a nightmare to clean though and has lost its shiny look - i am toying with the idea of either spraying it black or putting some better quality mesh in which i will be able to keep clean

Excellent work. I'm proud!

You picked it up in no time at all, some people can't get the hang of how to hold and position the head to get the correct amount of pressure - but the in progress shot seems to show the polish working nicely, with not much splatter!

Its standard on MK2's but normally painted black until the paint gets chipped by stones.
Looks better with no Paint or Silver paint IMHO.

Thanks CDTi all working fine and really pleased with the choice that the i pod adaptor gives, and i swear that the sound has also improved compared to my other VDO unit.

I would agree - the sound is much improved over the 413.

Very nice indeed
Is the UDM any better than a PC or are they much the same?

I would say that there is not much difference although the claims are that the UDM has 20% more power, but i cannot confirm as never used a PC.

Empsburna has a PC and has used my UDM so his opinion will be more valuable than mine.
