Default Oil change.. and fuel filter

How long do you really drive before getting the oil changed... and same with the fuel filter, as I think every 75,000 to 100,000 is what Chris fix tells me on youtube..

Just got my first oil change from when I got the car until now which is about 6/7 month and I done just under 20,000

I think the service oil schedule is 15,000 mile. The 75,000 and 100,000 is at 5 and 7'ish years

I change my oil + oil filter every 7500, and fuel filter every 2 years regardless of mileage.

The 75,000 to 100,000 is just the fuel filter

My oil and air filters are every 8-9000 miles along with oil. Fuel filter under the bonnet is the same, injectors are soaked with forte injector cleaner at the same time.

In the big scheme of things, oil, filters, etc are cheap so why not keep it clean?

On my CDTI change oil and filter as per service manual.

On my rather more powerful Sulzer 12LDA28C engine the oil and filters were changed in mid September 2018 having previously been changed in June 2008. No idea as to mileage accumulated. Uses a monograde 40 oil. 154 gallons or 700 litres plus four bucket size oil filters in line.

Reason is that the oil undergoes full spectrograhic analysis from time to time to monitor its condition. Then change when needed.

I do exactly the same on the CDT. The car is never allowed to reach 10k miles without an oil and oil filter change.

The fuel filter every 2-3 years or 30k miles whichever occurs sooner. The same for the air filter.
