Finally un-jammed my rear seats! Well, one side was jammed one side stuck open. Which would have meant an mot fail on Friday!
So for the time being I’ve just shut them both and will tackle the full fix at a later date. |

Had both rear sills replaced with Tom's repair sections and managed to cure a really annoying knock on accelleration that has plagued me for over a year

Are they show plates or have they got a BS number on them?

Finished the front end jobs today. Replaced the n/s steering rack gaiter once I'd found my blow lamp to heat up the trackrod end and nut ! Next was the o/s/f flexi hose and metal pipe. Again it took the blow lamp to help release the flexi and bleed nipple from the calliper . What was a pleasant surprise however was that the metal pipe corrosion turned out to be old hard copperslip that I applied when the car was 6 months and when washed off with carb cleaner, left the pipe still showing the original green paint ! The pipe union was good too so all was put back together with new clips and bled.
A wire brush of the subframe and a spray of Dinitrol and the usual fight with the undertray, she was dropped back onto her wheels. Just need Turbo Dave to find me an MOT slot in the coming weeks. |

Repaired my rear interior light, following this aptly timed thread from Azur on the 10th, my light dropped out on the 16th.
https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...d.php?t=314632 I think maybe the heat finished off the little plastic lugs. I didn't have a bracket as per the thread so I cut and shaped a strip of metal from a jubilee clip I had lying about. Drilled and screwed that into the light assembly and it seems secure now. Pleased with that as, when it broke, I was disappointed to find those rubbish little bits of plastic which would obviously be very hard to repair, and the light units aren't available new. |

Struggled and swore at it....
Ultimately I finally managed to remove this pile of junk, and start the slightly easier process of fitting the new stuff on the car again. Then tomorrow I just need to refit the new alternator and recon steering pump I fitted last Sunday and took off again yesterday.... |
