Default Oil cooler clogged

Been having lot of trouble getting heater to work in the V6 Tourer. Have replaced heater matrix with brand new one - no better. Have just drained entire cooling system to blow through each pipe and have just found I can't blow through the oil cooler.
Have header tank off for a clean, top heater hose undone at join behind battery. Finger on header tank hose, blow down heater hose that goes to the t piece then down to the oil cooler - go blue in the face but can't blow through oil cooler. Removed other oil cooler pipe from it,still can't blow through. Removed the one i'm trying to blow through and pipe blows through no prob.
So oil cooler must be clogged up inside. Will have to get a new one I guess or do you think if I remove it I might be able to unclog it ? Might bypass it with a piece of copper pipe for now.
Oil cooler being blocked must be the cause of my cold heater as heater return pipe runs through it and if water can't get out of heater, heater can't work !

Yes I do Paul and what's more, you will discover whether or not the culprit is K-Seal or equivalent which is known to have this effect.

Pic of clogged up insides of oil cooler. No wonder no coolant flowing through heater matrix,it couldn't get out of the other end !

Well done Paul. Have you been able to scoop some of that material out of the cooler to try to identify it?
