Default Traction control

Dear all,
I´m just a few clicks away from buying a 260.
I have some questions about the TC of this cars.
Do all ZT260´s have a TC? So MKI and MKII? Is it possible to switch it off on all models?
Where is the switch located in the fascia?
Thank you very much for answers,
Regards,
Chris

Well come along, Only MKII's had TC and yes it can be turned off. Get yourself over to, the home of the 260

The switch is located on the strip under the climate control, next to (if fitted) the switches for heated seats, rear blind, cruise etc..

There is a high mileage 260 on British Car Auctions website due to be sold on Friday, I think

The Traction Control is a crude affair compared to the Front Wheel Drive set up

Best of luck with your search

You simply do not need TC

even with a blown car
yes I did discover it can spin the wheel in the wet in third at motorway speeds if I do something silly, but ones right foot is a very capable TC device

A lot of us turn the TC off, it's basic and brutal and you're better off wihtout it IMHO

See, I worry about this...mine is a Mk2 with TC and it has NEVER kicked in...even when wheel-spinning / tail sliding off a roundabout due to a slick surface and too much welly.....crude and brutal? More like non-existent?

Sounds like it's not working at all, if it kicks in it simply cuts the power and can leave you stranded half way across a junction just when you need the power!
