Default NOT a Rover product but need help in a hurry!!!

Before I go any further its not mine, I in fact hate these cars but when a friend in need and so on. Another member on here and ZT owner needs a car off her driveway by Saturday!! Long story short, its her ex partners and he's coming to collect on Saturday. It is a 2004 Peugeot 407 2.0 HDI 136 SE, and it won't start!!! It has been sitting idol for 6 months and only started once about 2 months ago. We originally tow'd it yesterday with the ZT but nothing, not even an attempt to start. We then connected it to the jump leads but again no attempt to start. Today we connected it to a transit for over 30 mins but yet no luck. It is lighting all dash lights, locks are locking and unlocking with a strong sounding click. There is however no click from the starter, which normally I'd have got from any other car with a flat battery. Before the car was left idol it was in everyday use with minimal problems but definitely nothing like this. Does anybody have any ideas? I know the obvious problem, which is its French. But jokes aside my friend needs it gone by Saturday and doesn't really want her ex partner here more than necessary so anyone with any ideas I'd be so grateful.

The best of all charges is with a small charger during 2 days.....

But after 6 months , I am afraid the battery is knackered ...

Thought this may happen but based on my own cars which are generally significantly older, when you get any life in the battery it will click the starter solenoid.

To take a correct voltage measurement, you have to disconnect the charger,
and wait for a quarter of an hour before.

12.6 volts is a good value.
