Default Rover 75 V8

Here are a couple of pictures of the interior of a Rover 75 V8.

Notice the gearshift and gearknob [completely wrong type of auto gearknob and leather shroud].

10 days later another picture was produced with the correct gearknob and shroud.

Notice a different style of leather seats.

I wonder why they used photoshop on the first picture.

[maybe the forum should have a special section for Rover 75 "anaracks"]

If you notice the top picture is from a different car as it has the Monogram Center stitched leather interior. I know that the car used for the top image was the 2004 Geneva Motor Show carr.

Maybe it has not been photoshopped and is standard as I know for example the Geneva car has 19'' Vortex wheels on it and they were to weak to drive the car with them on. So maybe the interior is similar

The auto gearknob shown in the top picture would make it impossible to select any gear as the release button is on the front of the knob where as the correct V8 auto gear knob has the release button on the top.

Well they made a right mess of both of them...the bottom one is a FWD dash as it's got a vent wheel and not a V8 badge like the top one...

[Anaracks moment]

The Geneva Rover 75 V8 was I believe the only one produced with the V8 badge instead of the thumbwheel. [It used to belong to one of our members Anglast].

All the other Rover 75 V8's had the thumbwheel [mine certanly has]

I have never had my dashboard off but reading the handbook it says the thumbwheel works in the same way as any other 75.
