Default Lazy Heater V6

Anyone got any ideas here?

I know its been ****** cold these last few days but the heater in my car seems unable to cope!

With the temp up to 28 it gets warm and no more, almost as though it was only on about 22 degrees, and that's on the move. When idling the heater hardly works at all, does'nt matter how much I play with the controls.

Anyone got any ideas?

Set the heat to max. If its warmer on the drivers side it'll be blocked matrix.

If you get more heat by revving the engine compared with tickover, then there's probably an air bubble in the system. The coolant sytem should be bled and topped up as described in Haynes. Alternatively, an evacuation using a Pela type pump will probably get the air out. If revving makes no difference at all, then the matrix probably has a blockage/in silted up. If the engine cools down when travelling, but stays hot while stationary, then the thermostat should be replaced.
