The signs were there. I saw the evidence after the event. Emails were clearly poor or stumbling english. Delivery on Bank Holiday Monday? Like you say, bought unseen. He failed to step back and realise what he was getting into. Basic common sense left him completely. Sympathy yes but he was a fool with his money. I said to his face a couple of years ago that I thought he was undiagnosed Bi Polar. Perhaps he had a manic or euphoric episode that blinded his reality and judgment. It gets more complicated the more I analyse it.
