Stuck cruise control at 50 mph
Just reported on the news a australian driver had the cruise stuck on his car and couldnt stop i bet his sphincter was twitching like a rabbits nose

Just caught the end of the report on the 1 oclock news ,......well they were carrying the driver on a stretcher, so try a google for more info i am/

Yes watched all that.
Car makers are investigating why nothing could be turned off or disengaged. He did get injured but was given clearance and help with Police escort. Manufacturer was on the phone but also didn't know how to turn off. Crazy. |

Worryingly something similar happened to a new member on the forum with a 75 last month. The cruise actuator arm had got snagged with the throttle cam and jammed it open. With a fault like that it wouldn't matter what buttons you pressed, it wouldn't disengage. It should still be possible to stop by changing down and braking, though I would not try switching the engine off because the loss of servo for the brakes would probably be more dangerous.
