There are a multitude of spring/damper combinations for different models. They are different lengths, different compression rates and different rebound rates. It is most important that they are correct for your car. What does the label on your car say? Are there any identifying marks on the ones he fitted? I will identify which ones are correct for your car. Here attached is a complete listing of all Rover 75 / MG ZT variants. ( Not V8 ) with colour code, CI code and part numbers. You can also work out what spring goes with what damper. Hope this is of some use

Any ideas what you should do when the sticker under the rear seat has not been printed properly and cannot be read?
