Default heater blower not working

hi

im new i have just purchased a 75 "2000"reg

the air con seem to work as driving at speed the cold air is forced through the vents . but the blowers do not work on any setting.

i have swapped the yellow relays round to see if it solve it, no joy

can anyone help please.

Welcome along.....

First you need to check the fan is working...start the car, as soon as you select A/C the fan should start (that's the fan behind the bumper)

That's a good sign....may be a fuse or possibly the resistor pack

If you take the lower panel of the dash out on the passenger side, it will reveal the fuse box.

on the underside is a schematic of the fuse box.

There's three or four fuses..........

You might also want to try disconnecting the battery for 20mins (make sure you've got the radio code and allow the sat nav to shut down if fitted)

hi

i just opened the fuses under the passenger dash . there lots of them and nothing to suggest the blowers or air con . what am i looking for?

check fuse F4 on the glove box panel -Air Temperature control, fresh air recirculation motor

Just checked the f4 its ok not blown.

the schematic shows a book not heaters or recirculation picture.

any thoughts

If you pm me an email address I can send a full layout diagram for all fuses & relays (engine bay and passenger side boxes) for your car. This should help in understanding what you have and where, and thus what to check.
