rover 75 mk1 vrs rover 75 mk2
My mate has this morning finally agreed to a sale of another Rover 75. He loves his Rover 75 and will be joining the club shortly, However he was not so convinced about the Mark 2 Rover 75.
I have two mark ones, but love the mark two's also. The deal was a good one he picks up his Rover 75 conny se in firefrost red with delivery miles only (25 miles on the clock). The vehicle has a upgraded interior pack and is a 2008 "08" plated vehicle. The engine is the 131 diesel version and looks the dogs danglers. He states this will give him another 7 years motoring in a Rover car due to the delivery miles only basis and no owners.I tend to agree with him on that. Its good we can still get delivery miles only rover/MG car after the last 3-4 years have passed. I'm hoping when i need to replace mine i will get one of these to ensure years ahead motoring kind of thing. The main point when he drove his new rover was the fact he said i forgot "how good they are to drive when new" after he got out and then got into his 131000 mile rover 75 mark one TO DRIVE HOME AFTER The deal. I suppose this part cannot continue with new old stock deminishing away. Last edited by martin green; 3rd July 2009 at 14:14.. |

I guess this is the 75 your mate bought. Think it was around £15,000 when I called in a couple of weeks ago
And here is a picture I took of the ignition blue ZT diesel at £16,495 Nick.

NICK999 Thats right mate.
he got it for less than that with all the other trimmings he had with it tax, diamond bright, trade in car, fuel etc, lifetime warrenty etc, I am tempted to look at the pearl black un,,,,,,because sometimes a recession works in your favour. and they are not making any more of these beauties, PS thats a good picture of the firefrost, even better sitting behind the steering wheel with a big fat grin for him though. he'll be joining up next week i take some pictures next week and put them on the system. They do seem to have lowered their prices slightly. I been interested in the silver ZT 190, but it is identicle as my own silver car, and at £16,995 still way over priced. I only paid £11995 for my new ZT in 2007 '07', so would only be gaining one year '08' and I would be second owner!! But it is like a time warp when you enter their new showroom!! Nick.

True, but i suppose that as times goes on and you have one of the newest, lowest, one owner cars left and of course that new car smell then its just a gooder deal as any for fans of these models.
I think thats why my mate went for it, stating 7 years of "ROVERING" and you would have paid that price if Rover were here today anyway so whats changed, the warrenty side of things is sorted, and the delivery mileage is also the same as if rover were delivering it now to a main garage. I still cannot believe we can still do this and get our products (just)....fantastic. |
