hi, reguarding my tappets, what sealant do i use on the cam carrier, thanks

Until Lates can reply, it is a yellowy looking brush on solution that used to be in a red bottle with the brush supplied. MGR used to supply so I would assume X Part will supply it now. Be careful not to damage the face when removing the old sealant and when applying the new sealant don't add too much around the oilways. Sorry I can't remember the part number.

I realllllllly love using that stuff as well. Any X Part place will sell you the kit. As Sworks has said its in a small red bottle with a spreader and a brush. I apply it with a small bladed screwdriver but take care not to get it in the oil ways or leave gaps or apply it too thick.

edit: you will also need to replace the 4 cam seals whilst doing the job, not worth reusing them.

suggest using a small paint roller to spread it.

I think it would be difficult to use a roller as the seallent is quite thick. I generally cut the bottle open for easier access and use the brush, the bristles usually come off the brush too so you will have to pick them out of the sealler too :lol:

no need to.put it in place as usual, then spread it with the roller.
works every time. only the small roller, not the one for doing the walls, the one for the back of radiator.
