Default Just looked at 2 brand new 75's 0 miles

Popped down to Weston yesterday and stopped off at a place that had 2 unused 75's, 0 miles on the clock, never been out of the showroom

Peal black 2,0L BMW diesel connoisseur £16,000
Peal gold 4.2L V8 connoisseurwith liquid metal finish wheels £30,000

I fell in love with both of them, both cars worth every penny, I almost bought the black one on the spot. The scary thing is that I seriously considered buying the gold one. But it would be my only car, I would have no rocketship Honda Super Blackbird I recently bought, and I would have to have he Mustang lump tuned, but I do not want to go back to £100+ per week in fuel. The pearl black may have sorted my dilemma on what colour estate to buy, am going to sleep on it (if I get any sleep).
I am so tempted but the 75 I have now is so good i'm afraid of feeling I may have spent £16,000 for a respray and leather seats, yet I feel it is worth the mony. I mean, a new Rover 75 connoisseur 0 miles straight from a showroom today, how often will this chance come along.

I assume it was SMC you were at.

They have had quite a few 0 mile cars recently. A couple from Bermuda etc..

You may think they have never been out of the show room but I seriously doubt that.

You would need a full service, complete fluid replacement and a complete belt replacement before even considering them as they have been standing for so long.

At those prices the chance will be around for sometime to come I think - as it has been for at least a year or so already

It's SMG in the Bristol area who are selling these two.

They are probably parked near the other few that are over priced.

The 75's at SMG Bristol are not related to the 12 75's that went (and came back) to Bermuda and were sold by SMC Slough. SMG have had these 75's for sale for at least 2 to 3 years to the best of my knowledge. I understand that they have also been in covered storage for all of that time, and there may be a few more hidden there somewhere.

Given that they are genuine 0 mileage, and have been kept in dry storage, then maybe the Black diesel is fair or slightly over priced, but 30k for the V8 is definitly OTT.

Default brand new rover 75 cars

I agree with Andy, The black diesel along with any of its sisters is worth it if it means alot to you!. The black rover 75 diesel version will go on for many years to come and the personnel enjoyment you may get when driving around in a brand new rover for the last time.

I HAVE TWO FRIENDS WHO BROUGHT TWO BRAND new Rover 75's from Wilcox in early 2007 on "07" plates and they have done 40.000 miles a-piece with no motoring problems.
If you want it and have the money means have it .....................
You may regret it if you dont........If ROVER WERE GOING TODAY AND KNOWING just how good the rover 75 diesels are i would have no problems in ordering another straight away.

PS Andy thanks for the pictures mate.

Thanks for all your replies, and the insight. It was SMG Rover in flowers HillI I went to. I have just got back from spending the night at a niece's in Rhyl, while there I looked at a black 2005 with 48,000 on the clock, he is trying to get £6,000 for it because he is reuctant to trade it in. He has not used it for work as he has a company car, and only uses it for joyriding, does not use it in the winter, and uses a mit to wash it.
I thought of what you posted last night martin, about if Rover were going, if they were the last 2 75's in the world, and were both £16,000, I honestly believe I would have chosen the one that had done 48,000 miles because it is just about run in, would last as long as the 0 miles one, if it had private plates not even I would know the difference, except that the one that had done 48,000 was more shiny than the suround of my plasma TV, and I would have £10,000 to spend on it.

So I am glad I did not buy it on impulse, and thanks for your comments.

I'd agree. Buying that 75 V8 and then using it would be like setting fire to £20k. Lovely cars but its uniqueness would be lost as soon as it was driven
