It looks like my 75 is in the affected VIN range so, as I saw they are reduced to £15.00 a pair at the mo at Rimmers I thought "love a good offer, I'll get them".

I always fall for it ..... when it adds on the £8 postage and oh, don't forget the VAT, it suddenly becomes £27.54.

Yes, probably still worth it for the safety/insurance aspect on my "keeper", but did come away from the impulse buy with a sigh.....

Similar, but "up front", pricing on an the bay of fleas.

Not a pop at Rimmers per se, just a comment on my Retail Experience....

Happy Roving, all

John

Hello John,
On the other side do remember that a tyre is worth a tad more than £27.54.
I'd to pay the usual expensive shipping costs to get mines from Rimmers (=40€ grand total) when I saw a good unused set in its genuine plastic bag for 15€ + 10€ (shipping costs) on Ebay France!

Go for them. You may need them, nobody knows...
Regards,
Arnaud

Hi again Arnaud, hope all good with you.

Pity we didn't have chance to meet up when I was down in your area.

I'll let you know when I'm next passing.....might be able to save you a bit of postage on a future Rimmers order!

A bientot

John

Next time give me a chance John: do tell me a while before that we may arrange a date, mind that I'm not so busy, but it was bad luck I'd family at home just at the moment.

A bientôt,

Arnaud

someone from rimmers made a post of this forum that if we were unhappy with the postage we should call them to see if they could do a better price.

I called them a few days ago and they improved of some costs as someone else was doing the same part for less. My order was nearly £250 so that may have helped
