I was first treated for epididymitis with no diagnosis, seems to be the normal routine when us guys get painful nuts. I was given courses of antibiotics and tested for STI's, all came back clear. The meds worked for a short time but the symptoms would always come back, several scans later and was told I have varicoceles and epididymal cysts, then got told these are small and would not be causing the pain.

Several years later and now they are sorting the varicoceles, if that fails then removal of the cysts or the epididymis, I just wish they would hurry up and sort me out.

Did you guys get the ache/pain go down your legs and into your feet and effect your walking? Its only now the docs have started listing to me, if they leave me any longer I'm not going to be able to walk.

Just imagine... man disabled due to his balls.

An update on this.

I meant to be having surgery on Tuesday, I had a phone call last week to get me in for a varicolectomy. I've been waiting for this day for years, and now its here, I'm crapping myself. What guy wants surgery on their nuts, especially during the covid situation.

Today I have to get a covid test at Southampton, then I'm being seen at a private hospital on Tuesday, I can see myself chickening out.

The docs cant even guarantee the pain I get is due to the varicoceles, so its all a bit of a gamble.

Please, forgive the snip, no pun intended, I've been avoiding this thread for long enough.

That seems an entirely satisfactory epitaph to me. Having that on my gravestone would serve as an epitaph to be proud of.

Just imagine, all those Sunday afternoons of gentle and worthy parishioners on their post-prandial parades, full of stuffing and wine, seeing that legend on Yours Truly's memorial in the municipal eternity storage facility. Not saying I would necessarily turn in my trough but surely an admiring grin would be excusable?

My best wishes to the OP, former glories and triumphs must surely abound.

LOL cheers Ray.

Bringing a grown man to his knees, a funny relationship us men have with the old brass clankers...

Well! I was up at Southampton getting tested for Covid and back again within two hours. The swab goes in the mouth and up the nose all quite unpleasant, results tomorrow.

I'm not entirely certain that pain in the goolies is one of the symptoms Wes, but I hope the result is in your favour, but even if it goes the other way try not to worry too much

Lol cheers Brian, I didn't hear back about the results, I assume I'm OK.

An early start it is then, got to be at the hospital for 7:30, I would much rather be going to a car show.

The worst thing of all is not being able to eat or drink anything, fasting certainly isn't much fun. I just hope there's some sexy nurses to keep me entertained.

When you've just had surgery, and all you want is fish & chips.
