I continued my injector cleaning project, yesterday I did the FL1 and today I did two R40 ones, only to realise I had missed a vital piece in the FL1 the day before

this was lying in the tray below the vice how lucky was I to find that

This is the little shim with the tiniest ball bearing I have ever seen.

It fits on the end of the propeller disc in the top of the injector

Got my set of Serpents back from being refurbished and fitted to my 1.8 Connie with a new set of Goodyears at each corner, look nice.

Busy weekend here!

Decided I wanted a new toy so found a 75 in the scrappy with an electric blind parcel shelf with switches present and fascia. Got the lot for £20!

Bit of a pain in the behind to fit and I wasn't best impressed when the other half broke it within 30 seconds - apparently pressing the button to bring it up then drop it down within a second or so confuses the blind. It seemed to be trying to pull itself down even though it was already down.

So I had to take it back out, ended up taking the mechanism apart, stripping down the gearbox gubbins and greasing the whole lot. Had to plug the motor into the loom and then activate the switch to get the motor to 'unconfuse' itself again.

All back in and now working well and hopefully the new grease will extend its life.

I also acquired heated seat switches while I was at the scrappy and I have the loom in place so now ready to drop in a set of leather seats though I do like my cloth ones so on the fence about it.

The 75 at the breakers had a set of decent condition black leather seats but some of the buttons to adjust seat movement were damaged and I couldn't be bothered with the hassle.

To finish off my weekend I have today given a thorough clean. Started off cleaning the alloys, then a good snow foaming all over. Rinse, washed with a wash & wax shampoo. Clay bar all over and then applied Auto Finesse Temptation carnauba wax.

Quite happy with result, knackered now though.

Well done on the fit, they are a pain to get over the seatbelts ain’t they!

Yes massive pain.

I had to do it a total of three times as after I had fixed the motor hissy fit I forgot to actually plug it into the loom so had to pretty much take it back out to do that.

Hope I don't have to do it again.

replaced a brake light bulb that I forgot to do the other day. For some reason thought they were dual filament as the brake light illuminates if a tail lamp fails so had to nip down to Halfords to get a couple, only then to pick a couple which had got tucked away under the boot carpet.

Changed the lower engine steady on the ZT, give it a wash then washed the tourer, then washed the girl next door but one's Ford thingy, but the hosepipe wouldn't reach Frosty.

Still that gives me the Freelander, Frosty, the 214 and the Duotone to do tomorrow, or should I say later

Washed Moonstone V6 auto at 7am, let it dry, then waxed and polished it.
Just fitted a new brake pedal rubber from Rimmers, stood back and admired it, lovely shine.
