Cool

Morning everyone.

Well, it’s not raining at the moment. Very mild.

Went for a mega long walk, well it seemed mega to me, yesterday. Walked from home to Salt Mill Park. Never gave it a thought that going there was virtually downhill all the way. So the walk home was very tiring.

It’s a good job I am having to wear tinted glasses atm,I looked in the mirror last night and I look like I have been in a fight. Huge prominent dark circles round my eyes, all down to the stress of worrying about mum. Phoning her surgery today and the care company to see about getting her an assessment and what extra help she can get. I can’t go on like this ,it will end up making me ill.
Now that the care homes have been vaccinated? ask her GP, social worker about arranging a respite break for your mum, to give you a break and a general physical check up for your mums health and wellness. My apologies for not writing sooner.

Good morning all from a hot and sunny Nairobi. I have been under the weather for the past few days with a heavy cold after we had to send one of the builders home on Friday, he was coughing and blowing his nose like a trombone. We are surrounded by forest and tree, so my symptoms could be from the pollen or hay fever, apart from that Jessica is okay 😃

How is everyone?

Good morning Andy, how is Deb?

Talking of quick turnarounds, a friend was telling me how yesterday he had his cataract repaired at a hospital in London. When he arrived in the department, everything had been changed from open plan to cubicles. Only one other patient was in the department. The surgeon and all the staff were PPE’d up, a green towel covered him and the only thing exposed was his left eye. After the procedure was completed, his stats were checked and he was sent home. The time it took from leaving home - hospital - procedure - discharge home, door to door was 2 hours, so no hanging around.

Morning folks - inter has disappeared - hopefully for good. I saw 14°C on the car's external temperature yesterday afternoon.
I was missing yesterday, due to a hectic day.
Started off with taking SWMBO for her physio appointment; then called at her sister's to pick up some shopping; then round to my daughter's house to check on the new granddaughter (now named as "Erin Patricia" - the second name being in memory of my late sister Pat) - mam and dad had a sleepless night, so didn't stay long; then back home for a rushed lunch; then off to take my sister-in-law to another hospital for a session with a camera; back home again to tidy myself up a bit for "the jab" at my GP's surgery at teatime; phew!

Interestingly, when I had my jab yesterday (the AstraZeneca version) I was told not to drive for 15 minutes after the injection - anyone else had the same?
Woke up this morning with a fair bit of pain from the arm into which the needle went - hopefully not the precursor to other side effects - the list they give you is pretty long!

Yes, when I had my jab on Friday I was told not to drive for 15 minutes, or indeed to stand up if I had a reaction - just sound my car horn and wait for assistance. Took the time to start reading the leaflet, then got worried and stopped! No reaction for the rest of the day, but on Saturday I was just so lethargic that I even went to sleep during the rugby! However, Sunday felt full of beans (more so than usual) so polished the top surfaces of all my cars which are not undercover. Have felt on top of the world since, but that may be relief at getting the first jab out of the way. All the people I know who have had worse reactions have had the Pfizer vaccine, mine was the Astra Zeneca Oxford one.

Stay safe, everyone.

The arm ache is a side effect for Yorkshire folk, stopping them putting hand in pocket

Or raising it to switch heating on
