Lemforda drop links failed ....
After 3yrs and 27,000miles fitted 2/7/16 replaced on 5/7/19 so not bad .
Replaced with some from a member who was clearing old stock make was EAP took some fettling as no flats on the top ball so had to file them ( the had an Allen key slot in the top of the thread which was lost when i cut the length down) dont think the quality is a good either but time will tell Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk |

Lates said my dust covers won't last much longer and I really don't know what to get. I was going for Meyle but I read a post were a member had issues with those too. Are the expensive Rimmer ones any good?

Meyle HD links are excellent as most will confirm so never mind the one person with "issues".

It was the 4 year guarantee that convinced me.

Meyle HD or Deplhi would be my choice. My last Delphi set lasted 43k miles. The current Delphi set has been on for 2 years now and issues thus far.

Lemforder were the original suppliers to Volvo for engine mounts and some suspension components they also supply Meyle for the aftermarket. If you get Lemforder or Meyle parts you may find they are Volvo original parts with the Volvo logo removed from them. The BMW boys might be finding the same, as Meyle are cheaper than Lemforder normally Russ

This matches with what I had found with the Meyle HD links I have here when compared to the unipart items I fitted last year. I have no idea what the standard (non HD) meyle parts are like though. I suppose, just because they are made my lemforder, doesn't mean they have to be made exactly the same. All I can do is fit them and see how they last, I suppose. I have a set on the rear and they have lasted 8 months so far, so I can vouch for them being good for that long at least.

Can't quite grasp the business model that calls for 2 different qualities of item ( like meyle & meyleHd).
Are they actually made of better materials? Or are they all the same and the Extra costs to us is just to cover the risk factor of the longer warranty? Unless of course they don't manufacture them at all and just buy in 2 diiferent qualities and just rebadge them
