ZT190 Camshaft locking tools
I'm thinking of changing the camshaft oil seals on my ZT 190 but looking at most of the tools for locking the cams to fit new belts afterwards seem to be for anything but the 190. Does anyone know the difference or where I can find the correct tools?

The 190 has different valve timing to the 2.0 and the standard 2.5 , so the two locking pins on the adaptor plates for the front locking tool are positioned differently to provide for this . None of the standard kits include the 190 adaptors so they need to be bought separately .
The best kit was always said to be the Sealey one , VS1290 , but I have heard ( unverified ! ) that this is no longer made and has been replaced with the AST version The sealey website still shows it so I can't confirm this A link is here , and they can also supply the 190 adaptor ………. https://www.asttools.co.uk/engine-ti...-beltsast4605a Sealey kits can still be found , and others are available but they may not supply a 190 adaptor . There is also much, much discussion on this forum as to whether the tools are really useful at all , and the job can certainly be performed without them . Everyone will have to make up their own mind on that ! I personally am a fan of the tools …...

On the Sealey locking tools you can get round not having the 190 adapter plates by knocking out the pins on the 2.0 V6 plates and refit them into the back of the plates
Not sure if this would apply to different makes but if they're made the same way this could be a solution. Russ
