The 7th and Final Owner...The Striped One returns...
Hi Everyone,
I would just like to take this opportunity to say hello and thank you for having me. I have been known within the MG Rover Community but took a break from the marque (regretted) to see what else was out there. I can honestly say the grass is not greener on the otherside! Following the sale of my Honda Civic (again regretted) I have been itching to get back to the community that started my passion for all things MG Rover. So for the last couple of weeks I have browsing forums for a ZR or ZS and not even looking into other models. Many Many Many hours of Scrolling facebook, ebay etc with nothing coming within budget or buyers were having a change of heart about selling, that was until last weekend.... Whilst doing my daily checks on Facebook I came across a car I recognised from going to the Pateley Bridge MG shows near Harrogate parked near a certain Biomorphic Green ZT. The chap selling it put a few details up with some old pictures and whilst the car had modifications that are not my cup of tea it had many many many plus points, more than all the cars I had considered up to that point. I did the usual insurance & hpi checks which were good and then I approached the wife...a prospect that had terrified me in the past and to my shock she said she liked it... So I contacted the chap and to his credit he sent me pictures and all the info I needed. I have been sifting through the old threads/posts and seeing the love it has received in past made me want it on my drive. I booked my 3 train tickets to get to Lincolnshire to rescue the old girl and bring her back to Yorkshire! Got there last night around 18:30 and fell in love instantly, she is a little rough round the edges but noting a little love won't sort. Bit of rust, paint cracks on the kit, faded vinyl, worn interior but she hasn't really been used in the last 18 months. Eventually got home just before midnight as the NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- A1 was a pain... The Striped one is home everyone...I shall continue the thread as I go along. |

Well saved, it was looking a little worse for wear the last time I saw it.

Well loved and previously pampered car, should be a good base foundation for you.
