Doesn't get any better......
Just had car back from garage, front passenger door seized up.The only way to open door would be to force the lock then would be unable to shut door. So now I need to purchase door assembly, looking at Rimmers £75 plus any other bits. Garage reckons 2 hours labour so looking at minimum £120+
Bearing all this in mind apart from the door lock, would there be any other extra purchases necessary?, especially as the old lock will have to be forced off...... any advice please....

Not sure if you've mentioned it here before, so possibly you've heard this?
Why not dismantle the door card from within and find out what has stopped working? normally, this would be a link. Even if you have to wreck the door card, it's still going to be cheaper. Good luck. |

Assuming your problem is you cannot open your door from inside or outside I have only ever heard of a lock seizing up once in my 11 yr on here, all other times the removal and re-positioning of the white clip on the threaded bar solved the problem.
Remove the white clip and the door should open from the inside, correctly positioning it on the threaded bar gives inside and outside opening.

Yep exactly as Stocktake said, every time I’ve seen this issue it’s always been the treaded bar, hardest part is removing the door card without damaging it
