Default Scuttle seal foam pads

Any ideas where I can obtain the two foam pads fitted on both ends of the scuttle seal?

Scrapyard is your best bet as they are NLA. A lot of people get a boot seal from a scrapper, cut it to length to go all the way across. Or if you can find a really earlyvcar I'm told the seals did that anyway!

Mine both disintegrated a little while ago, and with new ones being no longer available, I made my own out of a block of modelling foam from Ebay .

Mine has them. It's a 56 plate and built the week the factory shut (April 05). Lifted my bonnet today for a bit of engine bay fettling and noticed the drivers side one had split across the horizontal (perhaps became stuck somehow to the bonnet).

Thinking they might be hard to replace i tried a few dabs of superglue and, luckily, it seems ok.

Yes, for a short while in 2002/2003, then they returned to having the foam ends again.

And the earliest cars had tiny little ones and the ends o the seal was cut at an angle.

Makes you wonder why.....

Paul's ZT goes all the was across. I thought someone had used a different seal but it's a 2002 so could be original then?
