Here's a slightly different angle to look at it from. As our cars are now 15-20 years old the spectre of rust is becoming a more certain reality for many. The most important part on these cars is the main body shell. Check those rear sills and arches. Save the cars with good bodies - 99% of the mechanical parts can be replaced / repaired - but it starts getting an expensive and sysaphean task once rust get's hold on the main body...

.... Says the man that now has both sills welded at the rear on a 190k mile primertallic tractor...

If you don't like the car then fix it and sell if you can do that without a loss.
i wouldn't have thought a clutch and DMF would put you off. Go and check those rear upper arms before you make a decision though -...

... yes, right now - put those hob-nobs down and go have a ganders.

Purely up to you of course. Unless you want to sell it ... 'or it goes to the scrappy!'

The ZT will be making it's last journey under it's own steam at the weekend, where it will be driven up and beached prior to demolition.

I'm looking forward to driving something I enjoy in the very near future

Time to get that R8 sorted and on the road, it's been on the back burner for far too long
