Is anyone staying at the premier inn in Folkstone (channel tunnel) on Cherry Garden Lane on the Thursday 19th?

I think Rev Jules may be staying there Rick.
If you are overnighting on the Thursday would you like to join the rest of us for dinner at the Sandgate Hotel?
Cheers Ian

Just to check I have all the legally required essentials:

- I already have a boot mounted warning triangle (genuine MG Rover one) so don't need to order one of those.

- My headlights are projectors so have the beam pattern adjusters on them, so won't need the beam pattern stickers to stick on the headlights

- I already have a couple high vis vests so won't need to order any of them

- I'll order this magnetic GB sticker from ebay, only £1.49: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AA-Car-GB...UAAOSwahJci8-b

- I'll order this european travel first aid kit from ebay £2.99: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/First-Aid...IAAOSwq7JUDvZN

- breathalyser test £8.49 (going to order two as apparently you need more than 1 per passenger) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-Trave...YAAOSwcUBYLJqw

Now for other bits which aren't legally required but will pack anyway:

- no point in buying a spare bulk kit as none of them actually have bulbs that my ZT actually uses, so will just pack some spare D2S burners and other bulbs the car actually uses that I have here already.

- fuel can

- jump starter pack (anyone is welcome to use it if needed, just ask)

- water and engine oil just in case

Is there anything else I'm missing in terms of kit to take with me in the car?

In regards to paperwork:
- my insurance covers me for European driving so that's fine (peter best)

- my RAC cover is UK only, so will need to sort out cover. What's everyone else done? add temp european breakdown cover through your breakdown provider or just booked cover online elsewhere?

- Got travel insurance to sort out, will only take 5 mins

- will need to check if my Igo satnav on my head unit has european maps, if not I have the waze app anyway so that isn't an issue.

- passports sorted

- will pack the car's logbook, current mot certificate, breakdown cover paperwork and insurance certificate

- got my driver's licence in my wallet at all times

Have I got everything covered?

In regards to spending money, how much is everyone thinking will be enough to exchange in Euros? I'll have my debit card which I can use to pay for the hotel and any fuel stops and food, so shouldn't need much in actual cash?

Just a heads up to anyone making a list of "what do I need"
YOU WILL NEED TO COPY/PRINT YOUR PERSONEL EUROTUNNEL BOOKING REFERENCE NUMBER/PASSWORD.. and have it with you.
I don't have access to these so can't help if you forget it..
Ta Ian

Not needed because we will still be part of the EU when we visit..

You can use your Great Britain (GB) or Northern Ireland driving licence in all EU or European Economic Area (EEA) countries, and Switzerland, during stays of up to 12 months.

If you’re caught breaking the law, for example by a speed camera, the authorities can get the vehicle’s registered keeper’s details from DVLA.

You may need an international driving permit (IDP) to drive outside the EU or EEA.
