I have plenty of old number plates from cars I have scrapped, shall I bring them along

A mix I belive.
I'm using RAC, not the cheapest at £64 but I did buy their top spec cover.
I think a few of the older members are using SAGA
My advice would be spend a few minutes on line and see whats available that suits your needs.

About Arnhem, yes there is a circle in the innercity where it is not allowed to go with a dieselcar before 2005. This is controlled by camera's.
These camera's can only recognize dutch licenseplates. There is no way that they can see by foreigner cars how old they are.
But if you will take no risk, stay out of the innercircle, recognize by a sign, saying "milieuzone".
There is plenty place around it for parking your car. For petrol cars it is allowed to go in.
