where'll I get one of these? its the outer cable to transmission bracket retaining clip for the auto,Rimmers diagram is different,and it doesn't come without the cable at £90

in the middle of rebuilding the tumble dryer, and left my phone in Saunders Senior's car

Have a look at the attachment

Its the cable retaining bracket thats snapped one of the lugs off Brian,so the outer cable is slack and not held in place,I haven't any cable ties either,

I can supply some cable ties, but it'll be a quick drop off only if you want me to lob across now

No need Bri,I can get some in the morning, thanks though. I spoke to Trikey earlier,he suggested getting metal ones from RS onthe valley?

As a thought, can you not fashion a rubber lined metal "P" clip to secure the outer cable?

Sorry I'm not familiar with the broken bit.....what diameter is the outer cable?

No idea,will have to look in the morning The broken bit fits in a slot on the block of the outer cable,which fits in a bracket onnthe side of the box,the clip slides on two grooves on the block and through two slots in the bracket,it pushes front to back,the cable end had come out of its bracket,so refitted it and put a washer on,then snapped the clip trying to refit it
