Rear Bumper Removal
Hi All
To all those that have removed the rear bumper on their cars, is it an easy job? Can it be done by 1 person or is it a 2-man job. Lastly, and my main concern, do any of the plastic retaining clips break upon pulling the bumper off? I need to remove it to fit the parking sensors and patch a leek in the rear boot vent which is really peeing me off. Thanks in advance for your help |

I've seen the "How to" but just looking for reassurance on the retaining clips really.

A long as you have a blanket or similar close by, it's a one man job.
You can put masking tape on the rear wing edge as an added bit of protection....

It's quite easy. I did it when fitting the rear parking sensors. As Greeners stated put a blanket or something on the floor so you don't scratch the bumper when removing it.
I had to be rougher than I would have liked when removing one side but nothing was damaged and it all clipped right back into pace.

Greeners and Stephen
Thank you very much for your help. As said before, i was really looking reassurance as I really don't want anything else broken on the ZT. |

I'll echo Stevens comments - you may need a big tug on the sides to release from the clips (same true of the front bumper) - but it does come away.
