Such a sad state of affairs. Do you have a rear garden? If so, how did they get into that?

I need advice please have just called the police and I am awaiting a reply. I didn't realise who it was at first a man going past with 2 children asked to use my phone I refused, but he was quite persistent I eventually got through to him no he isn't coming in my house. I called the woman a FS I found out through others the woman involved her address I discreetly followed him home and he went back to the address I found out about. the police have all of this information my biggest worry is him damaging my car since I called his wife a name not knowing it was his wife who robbed me until I followed them home. I also have to go back to work Tuesday next week and I will be gone for several hours I am in fear of being robbed while I am away. how would you lot handle this ? thanks

What ever you know, you need to tell them and be somewhat pushy with them - stand for no nonsense. Today, they tend to just dish out crime number for insurance claims and want to leave it at that.

I feel for you we have this happen all the time now down in the village. I am lucky theh wont walk all the way up the hill to our place.
We have had trouble a few times fuel going out of cars, kids bikes gone. Had bits go out the workshop have to keep it lock all the time we are not here now. I have a baseball bat in the workshop and one by the front door and I know 2 wrongs dont make a right but I would and have used them. I am lucky in the way the scumbags around me know what I am like so they tend to leave me alone. We had a car go missing about 4 years ago, I found out who had, had it then sat in the village and waited for him to walk along. I pinned him up against a wall with the nudgebars of my shogun. I got my car back that afternoon. Never had a problem with the family again. |

Even if you cannot keep one, put up a large clear sign which says 'beware of the dog'. We have two, but the sign alone keeps most of the uninvited well away.
