Yorkshire help asap!!
My main plenum under the grill is about ten inches deep in water. I don't know how to clear it and the how to things didn't help either. It's flooding my glovebox through a foam covered vent!Anyone!?

I tried following that but to someone who knows next to nothing about cars they're not helping.

Have a watch of this as it will show you how to access the plenum on the side that's causing the problem.
Unfortunately it does not show the drain you need to clear which is under the ecu and will need "rodding" to clear the standing water. sorry about the humour lol |

I am no mechanic, not by a long shot, but the info gained here on the plenums now make it a simple preventative check.
The solution is simple as described in the various, and innumerable threads on this Club's forums

My advice would be follow the video to take off the plastic panels then shine in a torch, you should see the water, and then use something like this just to pump out the water untill you can find someone to show you how to do it the right way, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PETROL-SYP...item519ed50248

Once cleared you need to check under your carpet it will be soaking wet like mine was the foam backing will be saturated I would check this aswel. Sorry to hear you have suffered from the dreaded flooded plenum on the passenger side right by the pollen filter there is a drain hole that will be blocked you need to rod it through and clear it and the water will drain out onto the floor beneath.

It's very easy to do mate. See if these help with the guide:
See the hole in front of the pollen filter? Rod it, then flush it |
