In January, to spend six months at Cranwell gaining my commission as an Engineering Officer in the Royal Air Force.

Should be an interesting career change.

Yep, despite my inbuilt distrust of the officers I served with there were a few who were absolutely brilliant, such as the engineering officer on the Bloodhound unit who was a real engineer. I hope your time and experience is as interesting and challenging as mine was, 23 years seemed to fly by!
