Kenwood Head Unit
Hello all,
I am considering replacing my standard fit head unit (the Kenwood one - 379R I think) because it's rubbish and I can't plug my ipod into it. I would like to keep the CD changer so presumably need to stick with Kenwood. I would also like to be able to plug my ipod into it, preferably also through a lead into the glove box. Ideally, I'd also like bluetooth so I can talk to people without getting arrested. Any ideas? I have looked on a few sites but it all goes over my head a bit. Thanks |

I kept my head unit and fitted a Kenwood KCA-IP500 ipod adapter. it was very easy to fit and runs into the glovebox to store and charge your ipod and works with oem hand controls on the steering wheel. It also means you can control your ipod through the head unit via playlists on the ipod etc. it cost about £40 the down side is that it replaces your cd changer so no more cd's, but you can leave all the wiring in situ so when you want to swap it back you can. i didn't find losing my cd player a bad thing as all my music is on my ipod. hope this may be of help. skin77
