Evening all I took the decision yesterday to close business for the quarantine period. I can self distance from customers and supposedly am allowed to continue to work, but for moral reasons I'm not. As it happens now I am not able to work until further notice, as my mum's carer has had to stop work for her own self protection during the lockdown as she has asthma. She called tonight to say she is stopping for her own safety and my mother's, so I have to step in as mum has memory trouble and msu forget to feed herself or take her tablets.

Hi Rich,

Tomorrow marks my first week of self isolation (apart from my once weekly afternoon at the cat rescue)

I think you have made the right move. It’s not going to be easy financially or otherwise but staying healthy and halting the progression of the virus has got to be our number one concern.

I know June is a long way off before us self employed get financial assistance but I believe there maybe other help available to bridge the gap in the interim if needed.

Stay safe for you and all your family.
If you fancy a chat, well I’m in all day as well so always glad for a natter

Ok squire, will try and give you a bell tomorrow. Have to go to mum’s lunchtime and tea time each weekday now and that’s 15 miles each way

Cool

Good morning everyone from sunny Saltash.

Carried on cleaning the Bear yesterday, under the bonnet and interior.

Going shopping this afternoon, apparently it’s the best time to go. All the crowds have gone.

Good morning folks and reprobates welcome to the day.

A curfew starts at 7pm this evening. Hopefully this will save lives in reducing the spread of the virus. I have placed an order with a local pharmacist for Vitamin C Heading off into the forest after breakfast to check on the trees as we had torrential rain all through the night.

I hope we are all okay.

Morning all, nearly the weekend for us who are still working, then I suppose I’ll get a taste of lockdown!

Nothing much different for both of us as we are still allowed to travel to and from work.

Morning fellow reprobates - still nice and sunny here, but nowhere near as warm as the past few days - thermals will be coming out again if it stays like this. We've now had our first week in isolation - boredom hasn't set in yet, mainly because, thanks to the weather, we've been able to potter about in the garden and garage. If we get a lot of weather which keeps us indoors - that may be a different kettle of fish

Beautiful sunny day but that wind is cold to say the least. I'm finishing off putting lawn feed & moss killer on the lawns, The moss has never been so bad this year They'll look a lot worse before they will look any better after this stuff turns the lawns black.

Oh what joys dealing with the DVLA You know before you start things wont pan out with the drop down box questions I'm trying to renew my licence & after six attempts of the Gov.uk site telling me I'm not Me, I've given up & rang them, still no joy as it wont recognise me online & wont go through, I've screwed the renewal up & thrown it in the bin now Even my Rover 75 is a Renault Espace according to the records at DVLA.

Well if I'm not who I say I am & don't live at this address I've lived at for over 35 years they wont be able to prosecute me for having an out of date licence then
