One of natures mysteries how a plant can look like fibre optics, you are right Andy, it does

Pulling back from the flower gives it another angle, seen here on the forest edge amongst high grasses and trees of our small holding.

This pretty butterfly was seen 2 days ago in the garden, sucking up the sap from a tree bark. A Charaxes Candiope butterfly with a wingspan of 70-80mm. Also known as Green Veined Charaxes. The upper wing is yellow, orange and brown. Feeds from dung and fermenting sap from trees

Hi Rod, thank you very much Photography keeps me mostly out of trouble, apart from yesterday when I slipped up and landed heavily on my back whilst clambering down a gorge on our property. Once again, I had a lucky escape
