Here is my itinerary: Fly London - Nairobi via Addis Ababa on Sunday 8 March, a night flight. On 17 March, Fly Nairobi to Cape Town via Addis Ababa. 23 March meet the building contractor to start a new house build on the farm. We are converting a Dutch Cape double storey farm store into a 3 bedroom apartment with a drive in garage, ground floor with remote controlled electric doors (standard) in ZA. Thanks for the heads up about the fire. As far as I know we are not affected. The nearest pass to us is Sir Lowry’s. Do you get back to South Africa much? |

As the sun is shining I have been a tad busy. Washing out on the line.
Then set about the Bear. Washed, clayed, waxed and polished. Exhaust back boxes cleaned. Just the wheels, interior and engine bay to be done. Got the washing in, lovely and fresh smell. And now to get dinner ready, sausages and mash with baked beans. Might even open a bottle wine.

Another frosty start go the day here, appointment with bank at lunchtime to see about paying for the new van. Got a good rate on the interest, 2.9%apr,so I pay back less than 900 quid extra. The garage finance was nearly 3 grand extra Plus I would still be paying the existing loan off for the last van. Just hoping we get my late aunt’s estate settled before too long.

Morning all, It's a cold dry morning here. Just been into the garage and noticed I'd left the Wilko box on the garage floor with the two boxes of fish blood & bone fertiliser in it, They're wet & soggy with all the damp in there
I need to empty them out on some newspaper to dry out.

Afternoon all, Beautiful afternoon here now, 22C sat here in the conservatory watching & listening to the birdsong. I love Spring.
Been down to the B&M store to get some topsoil to mix with the compost ready for the planting season.. The MEGA spud tub is primed and ready for the seed spuds & should keep me in chip butties all this year & next year I think I might have a sore ar....tichoke tomorrow as our lass has bought one of those packets of Maggi Mexican seasoned bake in the bag doodahs by mistake to go with a pack of chicken thighs.
