Cool

Seeing as the sun was out. I gave the Bear a wash.

Waiting for the garage to give me an update on Banana.

The drivers side window. The relay has failed along with the motor. Whilst at the garage it failed altogether, went down but stopped about quarter on the way up. Would not go in any direction after that. They are also checking to make sure the runners are clear of any debris.

(She is at the garage at Trerulfoot where Bear was a few days ago. Olde Worlde garage. Work on everything from Bentley’s to Armoured cars to Rally Cars).

Not worked properly since coming back from the paint shop. Been back but they said it was the switch pack, Matt took the one out of Grovey and it worked once. Bananas one works perfectly ok in Grovey.

I have an ongoing dispute with AM Restorations. I have taken legal advice and now waiting on the outcome.

G'day Phil
We arrive at Slimbridge on the 30th June and leave (for home) on the 7th July - so if you are round and about ...... there's a good pub at the entrance to the site, (they cater for gluten free, so Angela's happy)

We don't do too badly when we're away - next door neighbour of 40+ years's checks the house twice a day, feeds the tropical fish, puts various lights on and off and draws curtains and keeps an eye on the post - dustbinning obvious junk mail.
Rightly or wrongly, I leave our answering machine ON and there are usually quite a few "the other person has cleared" type messages (maybe a dozen over the month, but very few actual messages. 99% of family and friends make contact via our mobiles nowadays, so the landline is hardly ever used. Irritatingly, I'm slowly starting to get more nuisance calls on my mobile; some of them are very cleverly disguised - got one yesterday "we understand you've recently been in an accident - can we sue someone for you? type one. The incoming number was my local area code - presumably thinking I'm more likely to answer if it appears to be a local call?
Cheers Rod and Angela We are 20 miles from Slimbridge and can come over to you, go out and have a meal. What fun, so we will be around.

Hi Bob

When I lived in Hampstead, I had a falling out with a N London Vauxhall dealer over shoddy body work and took the dealer to court. During a storm, a street boarding was blown onto the Vauxhall car I owned and the sign demolished the bonnet.

Paint and body shop repairs were below the standard expected. I paid the bill and complained. I was ignored, until I threatened court action and reported the dealership to Vauxhall. 3-4 days before the court appearance, the garage capitulated and apologised.

What helped was having the support of a Vauxhall case worker and free legal advice from the AA. They told me what to say and how to write the letters “Without Prejudice” etc,

Ultimately I got the money back and the garage did the work again free of charge to the proper standard

Hopefully Bob, you will come through, with right being on your side and you won’t lose out.

Ahh that's not good Bob, Have a look to ensure they fitted the rubber seal correctly (The one that surrounds the glass) If this is a mm out it will cause the glass to be tight when moving this can then put excess pressure on the cables & motor.

Evening all, spent the afternoon in Leeds today. Some very arrogant rude people there. I hope they aren't 75/ZT owners.

Cool

Morning everyone.

Rained in the night, for a change. Grey clouds with the sun trying to break through.
