Wow it’s cold here this morning, the weather's crazy at the minute, how can it go from snowing heavily one day to quite pleasant & sunny the next & then bitter cold the next?

Cool

Morning everyone.

What a night of horizontal rain an gale force winds. And this morning is bright and sunny. Beautiful sunrise. But a tad chilly.

Morning all, sunshine and dark clouds here this morning, looking like it could be a mixed day, just having a coffee before I see what the day at work brings.

Yesterday I booked three caravan sites for our annual trip South with the tin tent:
Good morning Rod, good morning all

When will you be at Slimbridge? As a kid, I used to go there on school trips to the bird sanctuary and it was always a fascinating visit, a haven for the birds and photographers

I have been out of the UK since October and on return there was lots of mail to get through, some rubbish from Pizza flyers and various other things but no demands or anything unpleasant. There were 30 phone calls and no messages could be left as the answer service was turned off. I checked the numbers online and they were mostly marketing harassment numbers. How frustrating for the cold callers they could not get through.

How do you manage when you go away Rod for so long?

I turn the water and heating off. The power is kept on for security measures

Today I am staying in awaiting delivery of things to take back to Africa. Some things we can’t get or they are expensive

Morning all, another night of heavy rains & still raining now, It's a bit cold out there & we've got hail showers throughout the day to look forward too according to the forecast.

Morning all - from a bright, sunny but cold North Yorkshire. There afre various weather forecasts which suggest that there is still a cold spell around, with threats of hail, sleet and perhaps a covering of snow - Winter's final fling perhaps?

G'day Phil
We arrive at Slimbridge on the 30th June and leave (for home) on the 7th July - so if you are round and about ...... there's a good pub at the entrance to the site, (they cater for gluten free, so Angela's happy)

We don't do too badly when we're away - next door neighbour of 40+ years's checks the house twice a day, feeds the tropical fish, puts various lights on and off and draws curtains and keeps an eye on the post - dustbinning obvious junk mail.
Rightly or wrongly, I leave our answering machine ON and there are usually quite a few "the other person has cleared" type messages (maybe a dozen over the month, but very few actual messages. 99% of family and friends make contact via our mobiles nowadays, so the landline is hardly ever used. Irritatingly, I'm slowly starting to get more nuisance calls on my mobile; some of them are very cleverly disguised - got one yesterday "we understand you've recently been in an accident - can we sue someone for you? type one. The incoming number was my local area code - presumably thinking I'm more likely to answer if it appears to be a local call?
