Hi all, any body know what are the best type of HIDs to fit in my Con SE, 2004, also do they have to be, Can Bus type. Anyone know anyone to fit them in the North West area.

Usual recommendation is to get 4300-5000K H7 metal flanged HIDs as a kit. These are sold on eBay, etc. They don't need the CANbus gizmos, standard HIDs run fine with no errors/bulb out warning. A relatively simple DIY job if you know how to remove the front bumper.

There are umpteen threads and a HowTo if you search the archives.

As TC says, 35w H7 kit will be fine, colour temperature is a personal choice.

Can be done without removing the bumper but room is very limited to say the least! You can reach in through the cover that exposes a hatch inside the front wheel arches.

I didn't know about getting the metal flanged lamps.. the plastic type are very thick, and this makes them exceedingly difficult to twist the retaining clip back into place as I found out... It can be done, but expect sore fingers
